Die Geste ist ein komplexer Begriff und beschreibt körperlich emotionale Bewegungen – insbesondere Handbewegungen. Im Kontext dieser Ausstellung ist sie als künstlerische Interaktion und systematische Intuition zu verstehen. Ähnlich wie im Palais Eger die neue Raumgestaltung dem Vorhandenen begegnet und mehr Geste
als Intervention ist, erweitert hier die Ausstellung mit den Werken von Cécile Dupaquier und Marlen Letetzki das Gestische. Die Künstlerinnen, die sich im weitesten Sinne im gestisch Abstrahierten verorten lassen, spannen einen inhaltlichen und formalen Bogen und beziehen sich gleichermaßen auf kunstgeschichtliche, materialikonografische, literarische oder mediale Referenzen.
